Telegraph Business Events has launched the second annual Telegraph Business of Sport Conference, which will take place from the 11th to 12th May at the BT Centre in the City of London. The conference will see leading figures from the sporting world provide first hand insights into major themes shaping the sports industry today, including the globalisation of sport, integrity in the industry and the future of fantasy sport.
Keynote addresses will be delivered by The Rt Hon John Whittingdale MP, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, on the role of sport in the UK’s export economy, and Akira Shimazu, Chief Executive Officer of Japan Rugby 2019 Organising Committee, on the opportunities generated by hosting the Rugby World Cup in Japan. Other major speakers for the sporting industry include Lord Sebastian Coe, President, IAAF and Eddie Jones, Head Coach, England Rugby.
Speakers will share insight into how they have maximised the success of sporting events, boosted results, improved legacy benefits and increased audience participation. Case studies, panel sessions and in-depth interviews from outstanding industry experts will further explore the key issues affecting the industry today.
