Carsten Schmidt, Sky Deutschland’s Chief Sports Officer, Miles Jacobson, the Studio Director at Sports Interactive and one of the minds behind the hugely successful Football Manager computer game series, and Anthony Rose, formerly BBC i Player Chief and now CTO of Zeebox, will explore how fans will use technology to consume sports content for an audience of 300 top digital executives at Leaders in Digital Sport, Chelsea FC on 10th and11th October 2012.

The conference this year is truly ground-breaking featuring the biggest names in the industry from Pittsburgh Penguins, FC Barcelona, NBC Sports, BBC, YouTube, Manchester City FC, Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, New York Jets, Universal Music Group, Major League Soccer, Sky Sports and Facebook.

Schmidt joined Sky Deutschland as Head of Sport in 1999, following executive roles at some of Europe’s leading sports media providers. He is responsible for the production of sports programming and rights purchasing, and all of the company’s online activities. With the announcement earlier this year that Sky Deutschland had secured the Bundesliga rights for 2013-2017, as well currently owning rights to Formula 1, golf and other football competitions including the UEFA Champions League, Germany’s major broadcaster is set to revolutionise how sport is consumed in Europe’s biggest market.

Jacobson is the Studio Director behind the hugely successful Football Manager Series. Under Miles’ management, Sports Interactive has grown from a fledgling start-up employing five people to one of the best-known names in UK game development, responsible for five of the top 20 best-selling PC games of all time in the UK.

Rose is a Leading cross-media and connected TV technologist and has had an illustrious career. He was responsible for designing and deliveringthe BBC iPlayer and was also CTO of YouView. After seeking a new challenge, he co-founded Zeebox in January 2011 where he also acts as CTO. Zeebox has been tipped for major success as it attempts to ride both the multi-screen TV engagement trend and the increasing adoption of internet TVs, by creating a real-time system for social TV viewing.
