The Eagles’ schedule in Scotland and Wales now includes a development fixture against Cross Keys RFC.
The USA leaves for Scotland on Sunday. After a test match in Edinburgh and a midweek match in Aberdeen, the Eagles move to Cardiff for nine days, meeting the Welsh club on Saturday, November 11th.
A match against Wales Development follows in Neath the next Tuesday, and the three week tour ends with the test at Millenium Stadium on Saturday the 18th.
The Cross Keys fixture, confirmed just this week, will be an opportunity for the US national squad to introduce some newer players to the tempo of Welsh-Scottish league rugby and gives the USA three non-test match fixtures in which to work with less experienced selections.
The test against Scotland, meanwhile, will be the USA’s first visit to Murrayfield, and only the second time the two countries have met. The Eagles hosted Scotland in Hartford, CT, in 1991 when the visitors recorded a 41-12 win.
Duncan Hall’s USA squad remains as previously announced, and additionally, the Eagles expect to see some European-based players while in the United Kingdom.
