Gillette Champions campaign launches in UK

Tiger Woods, Roger Federer and Thierry Henry are revealed as the new faces of Gillette – the Gillette Champions – with the launch of a new TV ad.

The high profile TV campaign will debut on 18th January and will be the largest sports marketing campaign in Gillette’s 108 year history.

The ad features the Gillette Champions in black suits talking about how important preparation is to them. It is set against a backdrop of vintage footage showcasing their extraordinary talents and concludes with the new tagline “Prepare to be your Best Today”.

Thierry Henry is excited to be a part of the programme, “Being a champion is much more than holding a trophy or receiving a medal – a champion stands up for what is right and encourages others to do the same.  I am a Gillette Champion because I want to encourage others to be the best they can be, not only during a game, but also in life.”

Winner of 13 Major titles, Tiger Woods explained, “Being a part of the Gillette Champions programme was a natural choice for me. In golf, having confidence is essential, and a critical element of confidence is looking and feeling my best.”

Roger Federer, with 12 Grand Slam titles to date, speaking of his counterparts said, “Working with Tiger and Thierry, who are two sporting heroes, is a great honour for me, which is why I am proud to be one of the Gillette Champions.”
