Tobacco giants Philip Morris have acquired title sponsorship for the Malaysian round of the 2003 MotoGP World Championship, round fourteen of the current season, which will take place at the Sepang circuit, 40 kilometres south of the capital city of Kuala Lumpiur, on October 10th to 12th.

The event will be officially called the Marlboro Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix and becomes the fifth in the 16-round calendar to have the multinational tobacco company as its title sponsor this season.

Marlboro have a long standing relationship with the MotoGP series and already hold title sponsorship for all four events held on the Iberian peninsular this year (at Jerez, Catalunya and Valencia in Spain and Estoril in Portugal).

As well as their regular Grand Prix title sponsorship packages, the company are also committed to MotoGP through their deal with Team Marlboro Ducati, who won their first race with Loris Capirossi at Catalunya three weeks ago.
