Quintus is pleased to announce a new title sponsorship agreement for one of its major tennis properties – the annual champions’ tennis tournament at the Hurlingham Club in London.
Fortis Private Investment Management, the UK investment arm of Fortis Private Banking has signed as naming sponsor for three years from 2007, which means the event will now be known as The Fortis Tennis Classic.
Philip Howell, managing director of Fortis Private Investment Management commented; “This event provides us with an ideal opportunity to provide international sponsorship for a uniquely British event, which mirrors the Fortis approach to private client investment.”
The tournament also today announces an exciting new partnership with top sports management company, IMG, marking a new phase for The Fortis Tennis Classic. IMG’s client list includes the world’s top players on the ATP Tour, bringing world class tennis to Hurlingham and developing and strengthening the calibre of exhibition matches during the event.
This partnership will enable even more top ATP Tour players throughout the week as they prepare for Wimbledon. Previous players at Hurlingham include World No. 2 Rafael Nadal, James Blake, Mark Philippoussis, Feliciano Lopez and Jarkko Nieminen.
The Fortis Tennis Classic will also continue the 13-year tradition of welcoming great champions from tennis to London’s prestigious and exclusive Hurlingham Club during the week before Wimbledon. Legends such as Henri Leconte, Cedric Pioline, Thomas Muster and of course, Iranian trick-shot genius Mansour Bahrami will all be at the tournament to entertain the crowds.
With the involvement of a new title sponsor and input from IMG, The Fortis Tennis Classic is set to continue its growth in popularity, offering first-class corporate hospitality and fantastic entertainment, all set in the most superb, central London location.
