The new Volleyball World Rankings for men’s and women’s national teams have been published by the FIVB. This update include the results of the World Cups ’99 played in November in Japan. The points distributed for both World Cups, men’s and women’s, are: 100 (1), 90 (2), 80 (3), 70 (4), 50 (5), 40 (6), 30 (7), 25 (8), 5 (9,10,11,12). ’99 Grand Prix winner Russia is still leading the women’s ranking, preceding World Cup’s winner Cuba thanks to the points accumulated for the Juniors’ results. Triple World Champion Italy is still leading the men’s ranking but see World Cup’s winner Russia getting closer as they jump from 4th to 2nd place.
