Extreme Sports Channel, the new adventure and adrenaline sports service, is now available on digital cable in Germany. X-Dream International and UPCtv
announced today that the Extreme Sports Channel will be distributed through MSG MediaServices GmbH, a full-service-provider and neutral platform operator for German digital broadband cable. MSG is a 100% subsidiary of
Deutsche Telekom.
The channel will be part of MSG’s umbrella brand MediaVision that was successfully launched last fall. MediaVision is a platform for a broad range of special-interest-programmes and is offered exclusively via digital
cable in Germany. Extreme Sports Channel will be part of the VisionSelect package.
Extreme Sports Channel – a joint venture between X-Dream International and UPCtv – is the world’s first television channel dedicated to extreme sports and lifestyle, offering 24 hours a day non-stop action from surfing to
snowboarding, in-line skating to mountain biking.
X-Dream International’s Managing Director Alistair Gosling said: ‘We are very happy that German fans will now be able to see the best of the best in the world of Extreme Sports.’

Extreme Sports Channel was launched in the Netherlands in May 1999 and is now available to a total of 4.5 million cable subscribers in Holland,Sweden, Norway as well as to cable subscribers throughout Germany. The
channel is expected to roll out into Belgium, Austria and Romania in the next few weeks.
