Tennis Europe will be the official brand of the European Tennis Association and will be used for all internal and external communications, public relations and events. These changes will take place 1st January 2002 and will be officially adopted at the Annual General Meeting in March 2002.

Accompanying these changes is the implementation of a new logo. The dynamic and futuristic look of the current tennis racquet logo will be preserved, with the new brand mark replacing the words: European Tennis Asso-ciation. ‘The European Tennis Associa-tion felt that the implementation of a new and exciting brand mark and name would both aid in the search for sponsorship and in-crease exposure of the company.

The game of tennis in Europe is continually changing and devel-oping and as a result the Euro-pean Tennis Association also needs to adapt to reflect these changes. We hope very much that this new brand mark will be quickly adopted throughout Europe and that it will soon become a ‘household name’ within the tennis world.’– Agustin Pujol, President of Tennis Europe.

Important events in the Associa-tion’s calendar will also undergo a similar name change. For Ex-ample the successful and popular ETA Junior Tour will now be named the European Junior Tour and the former ETA Trophy will be renamed the European Tennis Trophy.
