LOS ANGELES – Cable One, Inc. and Fox Cable Networks Group have entered into a new distribution agreement for Fox Sports Digital Pacific, Central and Atlantic that will enable Cable One subscribers to follow their favorite pro and college teams no matter where they might live, something particularly attractive to alumnae of the nation’s top colleges. Less than two years after its debut, Fox Sports Digital Nets now have distribution agreements with nine of the nation’s ten top cable operators. The deal was announced this morning by Lindsay Gardner, Executive Vice president of Affiliate Sales and Marketing, Fox Cable Networks Group and Jerry McKenna, Vice President, Strategic Marketing, for Cable One.
‘This is a great opportunity for our customers to view a variety of out of market college football games and other sports,’ said Jerry McKenna Vice President of strategic marketing for Cable One. ‘Fox Sports Digital Nets will be a great addition to our digital line-up and we are pleased to offer this programming at no additional cost to our Digital Plus customers.’
Fox Sports Digital Pacific, Central and Atlantic is a trio of networks that offer live and often exclusive games and team news to fans living in one part of the nation who are interested in local teams from any other. Exclusive to cable systems, these three networks draw their programming from across the 22 owned or affiliated Fox Sports Net regional sports services, and feature top NCAA basketball and football from the nation’s premiere conferences among other key programming. This coming fall football season, the three networks will together telecast more than 150 games airing premiere teams and perennial powers from the Big 12, Pacific 10 and Atlantic Coast conference. Top featured teams include the Florida State Seminoles, Clemson Tigers, Nebraska Cornhuskers, USC Trojans and Notre Dame Fighting Irish, among many others Fox Sports Digital Nets will similarly telecast the nation’s top NCAA basketball programs, including the Duke Blue Devils, Maryland Terrapins, North Carolina Tarheels’ University of Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners, all the way across the nation to the UCLA Bruins, Arizona Wildcats and Stanford Cardinal. These networks also provide subscribers with access to less televised sports ranging from soccer to tennis to volleyball, swimming and track and field.
In terms of national, international and professional sports, Fox Sports Pacific, Central and Atlantic offer transplanted viewers access to NASCAR/USAR Racing, NFL Europe, PGA Tour golf, ATP/WTA Tennis, Horse Racing, Professional Boxing, Fishing and still other major sports action. The three similarly showcase marquee Fox Sports Net programming including national shows like Best Damn Sports Show Period, Motorsport Sports Weekly, NFL This Morning, Totally NASCAR, NBA Action, Sunday Night Fights, You Gotta See This! and Beyond the Glory.
