Addleshaw Goddard’s Sport Business Group has completed the UK’s biggest ever football club sponsorship deal, advising new client American International Group (AIG) on its multi-million pound, four-year deal with Manchester United Football Club.

AIG is the world’s leading international insurance organisation, operating in over 130 countries and jurisdictions. Its sponsorship of arguably the world’s most famous football club is part of a strategy to reinforce its global brand.

Head of Addleshaw Goddard’s Sport Business Group, Andrew Price, worked alongside in-house lawyers from AIG and Manchester United.
