2007 is a historic year for the sport of sailing as the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) reaches its 100th birthday. To mark this momentous occasion ISAF has produced a special edition Centenary logo to be used throughout the year.

Formed in Paris, France in October 1907, the governing body for the sport of sailing was known as the International Yacht Racing Union (IYRU). On 5 August 1996, the IYRU changed its name to the International Sailing Federation (ISAF).

ISAF President Göran PETERSSON said, ‘The ISAF Centenary Logo marks a milestone for the International Sailing Federation. One hundred years is a truly impressive achievement. Throughout 2007 ISAF will be celebrating sailing and demonstrating to the world the diversity, excitement, passion and community of our sport.’
