Wilson, the US equipment manufacturer owned by Finnish company Amer Sports, has today unveiled a multi-year sponsorship deal with Premier Padel, the sport’s new merged and combined top-tier series.
The deal expands and consolidates the various existing tie-ups between the two parties into one overarching agreement, and sees Wilson appointed as the official Premier Padel ball “for the upcoming seasons.”
The manufacturer, in collaboration with Premier Padel and the International Padel Federation (FIP) governing body, has developed two balls exclusively for Premier Padel use. This tie-up means Wilson is now the only brand that holds rights to develop, promote, and market official Premier Padel balls, worldwide.
The ball is so far confirmed as set to be used at 10 of the 25 Premier Padel tournaments to take place in its inaugural season (the calendar was unveiled in late December), as well as at the Tour Finals in Barcelona at the end of the campaign.
In late 2023, specific deals between Premier Padel and Wilson saw the latter’s balls used at events in Milan and Paris.
Eno Polo, Premier Padel’s chief executive, has said: “We are pleased to welcome Wilson to the Premier Padel family as our official ball supplier. This collaboration, designed for the long term, is based on our shared values of elite performance, innovation, and the growth of padel worldwide.”
