TGL, the new tech-infused golf league co-founded by the golf icons Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TMRW Sports entertainment venture, has secured seven new commercial partners as the inaugural edition of the competition reaches its playoffs stage.
AG1, Hard Rock Bet, Mastercard, Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Stanley 1913, and Verizon, have all signed up for the latter stage of the six-team competition and will be featured as part of live broadcasts.
They join a portfolio of existing partners that include presenting sponsor SoFi, and founding partners Genesis, Best Buy, and Businessolver.
TGL also added several sponsors on the eve of its debut season, bringing in the likes of Samsung, KPMG, FanDuel, Dryvebox, and SynLawn.
Jason Langwell, chief revenue officer at TMRW Sports, said: “The energy TGL has generated this season has been tremendous and we’re proud to announce a wave of commercial partners joining for the playoffs.
“The response by fans, in and outside the golf landscape, has resonated around the innovative nature of TGL as a platform for prime time, team golf. TGL has drawn one of the youngest audiences in all of sports, which is especially impressive for a golf property.”
The TGL playoffs began yesterday (March 17) and will conclude on March 25 when the SoFi Cup will be awarded to the first-ever champion of TGL.
The inaugural regular season got underway on January 7, and ran through early March.
