The New York Jets franchise of American football’s National Football League (NFL) has announced a new partnership with the New York area owners and operators association of fast food chain McDonald's ahead of the 2024 NFL season, which begins on September 6.
Becoming an official partner and the 'official burger of the New York Jets', McDonald's will gain sponsorship inventory across the franchise, including in-stadium signage at home games at the team’s 82,500-capacity MetLife Stadium.
Alongside this, the fast food giant will also receive exposure and assets across the Jets’ social media and digital channels, as well as commercial spots during Jets broadcasts.
The partnership begins immediately, with McDonald's activating around the Jets' ongoing pre-season training camp.
McDonald’s and the Jets will also collaborate to offer deals and experiences to customers of both.
The Jets state that there are almost 520 McDonald’s locations in the New York metropolitan area, and the fast food chain has a strong history of sports sponsorships in the area, previously partnering with the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, and the NHL's New York Islanders, both for the 2023-24 season.
