The organizers of team golf’s iconic US v Europe Ryder Cup competition have brought in New York-based Northwell Health as a sponsor of the 2025 edition.
Through a deal unveiled yesterday, Northwell becomes the official healthcare provider for next year’s Ryder Cup, with the upcoming edition of the biennial tournament to be held at the Bethpage Black course in New York between September 23 and 28.
Northwell – headquartered on Long Island, where the Ryder Cup will take place – will provide all necessary medical services for players, spectators, and players, during the event. It will also provide three on-course medical stations, and be in charge of health and wellness education for attendees.
The provider will also cover emergency care, through its Centre for Emergency Medical Services.
The PGA of America, which acts as part-organizer of the Ryder Cup, has a relationship with Northwell stretching back to the 2019 PGA Championship major event, which was also held at Bethpage Black. GlobalData Sport has valued Northwell’s sponsorship of that event as being worth $400,000.
In terms of Ryder Cup commercial activity, late October saw the partnership between that organization and logistics heavyweight DP World extended through the 2027 edition in Ireland.
