The McLaren Formula 1 (F1) motor racing team has unveiled identity management technology firm Okta as a new commercial partner.

Through a multi-year deal, Okta’s branding will feature on both the race cars and the race overalls of the two McLaren drivers, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.

The agreement will also see Okta’s solutions “streamline the team’s digital infrastructure, ensuring seamless and secure access for its partners, fans, and employees.”

The tie-up is essentially aimed at improving the security and access management of the McLaren F1 digital operations.

Zak Brown, chief executive at McLaren Racing, said: “This strategic partnership will enhance our team's performance, efficiency, and security off the track, enabling us to stay focused on building upon last season's on-track successes."

Other McLaren F1 commercial partners include brands such as Mastercard, OKX, Allwyn, and Ecolab.
