The race for teams from domestic Twenty20 cricket’s Indian Premier League (IPL) to secure sponsorship deals ahead of the upcoming 2024 campaign is on, with the Gujarat Titans, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Royal Challengers Bangalore franchises having all recently unveiled agreements.
The Titans – whose first IPL season was in 2022 and are owned by CVC Capital Partners – have now unveiled Indian fantasy sports platform Dream11 as their principal shirt sponsor, while that trio of teams have all entered into commercial deals with Advance Decorative Laminates (ADL).
Through the Titans' deal with Dream11 (which is also the primary sponsor of the Indian men's national team), that brand will have its logo prominently displayed on the team’s match jerseys during the 2024 IPL, which is set to run from late March to late May.
This represents an extension of the previous tie-up between the Ahmedabad-based Titans and Dream11, which has been a keen sponsor of cricket in India over recent years. In addition to its IPL and national team deals, it also has a tie-up in place with the equivalent Women's Premier League.
It also served as the title sponsor for the IPL itself in 2020 (this year, that slot is taken by Tata Group).
The three-team ADL tie-up, meanwhile, involves that firm becoming the official laminates and plywood partner of those sides (a deal between ADL and the Punjab Kings was also unveiled recently).
