Sports betting firm Interwetten is set to become the main sponsor of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Saalbach next year.
As part of the deal, Interwetten will have extensive marketing rights for the Austrian event, such as through branding, activations, and fan experiences taking place around the World Championships.
The tie-up was brokered by the Infront sports marketing agency, the rights partner of the FIS, skiing’s international governing body.
The tournament, which will take place from February 4 to 16, 2025, marks the second time the Championships have taken place in Saalbach, with the first being in 1991.
The deal deepens the betting firm’s ties to the sport in Austria, with Interwetten also having been partnered with the Austrian Ski Association since 2017.
Infront is the exclusive marketer of all media and commercial rights to most top-tier FIS competitions until after the 2025 Alpine event. It distributes worldwide media rights across all platforms and territories, as well as sponsorship and hospitality packages.
