Formula E, the all-electric single-seater motor racing series, will continue to stage its London E-Prix around the city’s Excel exhibition center after renewing its contract until at least 2026.
The extension will see Excel host next season’s finale, with 22 drivers competing. Excel is also staging this season’s finale with a double header on the 26 and 27 July.
Alberto Longo, Formula E chief championship officer, said: “We’re pleased to extend our relationship with Excel London, which has been a perfect home for Formula E over the last few years.
“It's unique track conditions and event space offers fans and drivers the very best of our sport, bringing the best racing and entertainment together in a truly unique venue at the heart of the capital, while all delivered sustainably.”
Formula E has been racing at Excel London since 2021, and the unique circuit features both indoor and outdoor conditions, as well as changeable grip surfaces and tight technical corners.
It is the only FIA-sanctioned World Championship motorsport that races in the heart of London – the UK grands prix of the top-tier Formula 1 series and motor racing’s MotoGP take place at the Silverstone racetrack in Northamptonshire, England.

By GlobalDataMeanwhile, Formula E has added Swedish automotive safety supplier Autoliv to its growing list of commercial partners secured this season.
The deal sees Autoliv become the series’ official mobility safety partner, allowing it to showcase its products and technologies and promote the use of safety equipment.
The agreement, which begins this month, will feature several brand activations, including the Autoliv logo on the safety and medical car, as well as local activations at various racing locations.
The new partnership comes as Formula E continues to strengthen its commercial portfolio, fueled by record audience growth across the 2023-24 season.
Ahead of the current 2024-25 season, Formula E secured rights deals with public broadcaster ITV (UK and Ireland), the LaLiga+ streaming service (Spain), and digital giant Tencent (China).
ITV shares rights in the UK and Ireland with pay-TV broadcaster TNT Sports, which also provides coverage on the Discovery+ streaming service under a multi-year agreement that began with the 2023-24 season.
In terms of commercial deals, since the start of the 2024-25 season, Formula E has announced strategic partnerships with Red Bull Media in the DACH region, IMG, and Story10 to increase its global visibility.
It also signed hospitality firm Seat Unique to lead its premium in-venue experience offering and launched its Stats Center in partnership with digital service company Infosys.
Additionally, Formula E deepened its AI and tech partnership with Google Cloud in January, before further expanding the deal two months later to add the company’s Driver Agent tool.
The series is gearing up for the fourth round of its 2024-25 season, which will be held at the Miami E-Prix on April 12.
The 16-race calendar includes new race locations in Miami and Jeddah, a new double-header in Monaco, a double-header in Tokyo, Japan, and the return of Jakarta, Indonesia.
This marks the first time the new GEN3 EVO race car is being tested in public, which is supposed to be 30% faster than a current Formula 1 car.
