Elite-tier single-seater motor racing series Formula 1 (F1) has announced a new partnership with racing simulator brand Playseat to produce licensed F1 products.
Playseat will manufacture and sell official F1 racing simulators and racing seats for video gamers at both the high-end and entry-level.
The simulators and racing seats were created in collaboration with F1 drivers and professional simulator racers to mimic the dimensions of a real F1 car’s cockpit.
Playseat’s first F1 branded simulator, the Formula Intelligence F1 Edition, will release on April 16, retailing at €2,499 ($2,707).
Speaking on the partnership, F1 chief commercial officer Emily Prazer stated: “We are always looking for new ways to bring Formula 1 to our audience, whether that’s by creating unforgettable moments at a grand prix or engaging with the sport away from the track. Our partnership with Playseat will provide gamers with a bespoke, innovative, and realistic racing experience to bring the action a step closer to home.”
Playseat already has several partnerships in top-level motor racing.
