Etihad Airways, the Emirati airline, will become the new main shirt sponsor of Spanish soccer club Girona from next season.
Under a three-year agreement running through 2026-27, Etihad will feature prominently on the LaLiga club's kits and within the club's stadium, the Estadi Montilivi.
The deal will also include fan experiences in the form of promotions and special events.
English Premier League champions Manchester City, MLS side New York City FC, and Australia's Melbourne City FC, who share the same owners as Girona as part of the City Football Group, are also currently sponsored by Etihad.
Girona’s new partnership with Etihad follows a significantly successful season for the club, finishing third in LaLiga and gaining qualification for the UEFA Champions League next season.
Meanwhile, Dutch Eredivisie outfit Ajax have extended their sleeve sponsorship deal with the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB).
