The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) governing body has announced a new partnership with pension insurance firm Rothesay to sponsor its men’s and women’s test matches.
The multi-year deal will see the company serve as the title partner of all home test format matches from England’s men’s and women's national teams, including the 2027 home edition of the iconic men’s and women’s Ashes tests.
Rothesay succeeds LV= General Insurance after it opted not to renew its sponsorship deal with the ECB when it expired at the end of the 2023 season.
As an official partner of the ECB, the insurance provider will receive branding presence at all relevant home test matches, starting with England’s July 10 encounter against the West Indies at Lord’s.
Rothesay’s sponsorship will extend to England women’s team matches across all formats not just test matches, and the firm will activate around games to drive fan engagement.
ECB commercial officer Tony Singh stated of the deal: “With record viewing and attendance figures last year, test cricket has never been more popular, and I am thrilled that Rothesay have endorsed our vision for growing the game across all formats.”
