Cycling’s UCI governing body has renewed and expanded its commercial relationship with BigMat, the building materials retailer.
Through a four-year tie-up between the two parties unveiled today, BigMat becomes an official partner of seven different UCI World Championships.
This builds on the deal the two parties had in place covering the inaugural UCI Cycling World Championships in 2023, while the brand also had partnerships in place with a number of World Championship events the previous year.
The specific events over the next four years with which BigMat will be affiliated are as follows: 2024, 2025, and 2026 editions of the UCI Road World Championships (and the para-cycling edition in 2024); the 2024 UCI Track World Championships; the 2025 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships; the 2026 Mountain Bike World Championships; and the 2027 UCI Cycling World Championships.
These events will be split between Switzerland, Rwanda, Canada, Denmark, France (which will host two), and Italy.
For the 2027 Cycling Worlds in France’s Haute-Savoie region (the tournament’s second edition), BigMat becomes the first publicly-announced commercial partner.
