Spanish basketball’s ACB has partnered with energy drink company Amayu Energy, making it the official supplier of the Copa del Rey tournament, which will take place in Malaga, Spain, from February 15 to 18.
As part of the deal, Amayu will have a brand presence in the cup competition's Martín Carpena pavilion and TV environment, and the Movistar Fan Zone in the center of Malaga.
Francisco José Martín, commercial director of Amayu, has said: “The brand not only offers a triple win experience, benefiting the consumer, indigenous communities, and the planet, but also invites consumers to join the Amayu movement. Each purchase will contribute to the protection of the most diverse ecosystem on the planet. Amayu Energy, more than a drink, is a sustainable commitment.”
Ricardo de Diego, brand director of the ACB, added: “The Copa del Rey in Malaga will be more sustainable thanks to this Amayu Energy agreement, with its natural products and its support for the Amazon ecosystem.
“We are delighted that they are joining the ACB in the Copa del Rey, in the great celebration of the fans.”
Earlier this month ACB partnered with domestic bank Unicaja Banco, making it an official sponsor of the Copa del Rey.

By GlobalDataThrough the deal, Unicaja Banco will have a presence in all official spaces of the Copa del Rey and the Minicopa Endesa, which is also included in the deal, as well as the playing court of the Palacio de Deportes José María Martín Carpena.
The announcement marks the third time the bank has sponsored the competition after having done so in Málaga in 2020, and Madrid in 2021.
Late last year, meanwhile, the ACB renewed its rights deal with free-to-air TV broadcaster Nova in Bulgaria for the next three seasons.
Through the extended agreement, Nova will continue to show the top-flight Liga Endesa, Copa del Rey, and Supercopa Endesa competitions in the 2023-24, 2024-25, and 2025-26 seasons.
The announcement followed several extensions with DAZN in Portugal, Czech Television, Sharjah Sports (MENA), Start (Russia), PV+ (Ukraine), and Sportklub (Poland).
