Altrad, the industrial services and equipment provider, has been named as an official partner to the delayed 2021 edition of the women’s Rugby World Cup, the premier international rugby union tournament, to be held in New Zealand this year.

This broadens Altrad’s association to the sport, with it already having partnerships with New Zealand Rugby, the French Rugby Federation, Australia’s Western Force, and France’s Montpellier Herault Rugby.

The New Zealand 2021 World Cup is slated to run from October 8 to November 12, a year after its originally planned date due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Mohed Altrad, president and founder at Altrad, said: “We look forward to participating in the biggest and most successful women’s rugby tournament yet, and one which leaves a legacy not just for rugby but for women’s sport around the world.”

Michelle Hooper, tournament director, added: “We are delighted to be working with Altrad as an already valued partner of New Zealand Rugby and look forward to welcoming them to New Zealand.”

Other partners to the tournament include Mastercard, Tudor, Gilbert, and DHL, which was recently named as the official logistics partner.
