Saudi Arabian soccer club Al-Nassr have signed a new three-year kit deal with German sportswear giant Adidas.

The agreement will begin from the start of the 2024-25 season and will see Adidas take over from rival sportswear firm Nike, which currently supplies the Saudi Pro League (SPL) club’s kits after signing a short-term deal for this campaign.

Nike had replaced Saudi brand Duneus as Al-Nassr’s kit supplier.

Guido Fienga, Al-Nassr chief executive, said: “As we join forces with Adidas in this exciting partnership, the scale and resonance of Al-Nassr, both adorned with the iconic Adidas three stripes, magnify the global impact we can achieve.

“This collaboration is a testament to our shared ambitions and our dedication to making Al-Nassr a football powerhouse, not only in the Kingdom but on the international stage.”

Bilal Fares, Adidas’ regional general manager, added: “We are thrilled to announce the partnership between Adidas and Al-Nassr FC, which represents two entities committed to shaping the future of football in Saudi Arabia.”

Riyadh-based Al-Nassr are currently second in the 18-team SPL, seven points behind league leaders Al-Hilal.

The deal enhances Adidas' presence in the league after it signed a deal last month (January) to become the official ball supplier of the SPL, also replacing Nike.

The partnership will begin this month, with the league changing its match ball supplier mid-season from Nike.

Adidas is increasing its activity in the country after also recently announcing a new strategic partnership with Saudi Arabian events company Sela.

Sela, owned by the nation’s state-owned investment group the Public Investment Fund (PIF), will collaborate with Adidas to grow and develop both businesses and sports participation.
