Spanish basketball’s ACB has partnered with distance learning institute Universae, making it an official supplier of the Copa del Rey tournament, which will take place in Malaga, Spain, from February 15 to 18.

Through the deal, Universae, which offers vocational training degrees across Spain and Latin America, will gain an extensive brand presence at the tournament, which is due to take place in Malaga, Spain from February 15 to 18.

The agreement adds to the tournament's growing sponsorship portfolio, which includes energy drink company Amayu Energy, which signed up as an official supplier last month, and domestic bank Unicaja Banco.

As part of its deal, Amayu will have a brand presence in the cup competition's Martín Carpena pavilion and TV environment, and the Movistar Fan Zone in the center of Malaga, while it is the third time Unicapa Banco has sponsored the competition after having done so in Málaga in 2020, and Madrid in 2021.

Late last year, meanwhile, the ACB renewed its rights deal with free-to-air TV broadcaster Nova in Bulgaria for the next three seasons.

Through the extended agreement, Nova will continue to show the top-flight Liga Endesa, Copa del Rey, and Supercopa Endesa competitions in the 2023-24, 2024-25, and 2025-26 seasons.

The announcement followed several extensions with DAZN in Portugal, Czech Television, Sharjah Sports (MENA), Start (Russia), PV+ (Ukraine), and Sportklub (Poland).
