Sports media and marketing technology firm Playfly Sports, has announced that its president, Craig Sloan, will take over as chief executive.
Sloan will replace Playfly founder and current chief executive Mike Schreiber, who will step into the role of executive chair of the company.
As chief executive, Sloan will run day-to-day operations at the company, stepping into the role from September 1.
Mike Schreiber stated of his decision to step back: “Since our founding almost four years ago, Playfly has achieved explosive growth, including internationally, and has proudly been at the forefront of innovation and harnessing fandom across pro, college, and high school sports.
“I appreciate Craig's incredible partnership and leadership during this growth, and the time was right – especially given the strength of our executive team – for a transition to help Playfly unlock its limitless potential and continue leading the industry with our proprietary data-driven approach."
Playfly, founded in 2020, has shown major growth since its foundation, recently agreeing to a 10-year multimedia rights agreement with Virginia Tech University, part of the ACC US college sports conference.

Sloan said of his predecessor: “[Schreiber] built the organization from the ground up, driving organic growth and adding key strategic acquisitions to truly make Playfly an organization with a depth and breadth of expertise, capabilities, and relationships that are unmatched across the world of sports. I look forward to continuing to work alongside Mike as we take Playfly to the next level."
