Wimbledon, the UK’s iconic tennis grand slam, has announced the extension and alteration of its partnership with luxury automobile Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), with its sports utility vehicle brand Range Rover to now serve as a partner of the tournament for the first time.
As the official vehicle partner of the 2024 edition of Wimbledon, one of tennis’ traditional four majors, Range Rover plug-in electric hybrid and sports vehicles will be utilized throughout the tournament to transport players, their support staff, event officials, and more around the venues.
Qualifiers for the 2024 edition of Wimbledon will begin on June 24, with the competition itself beginning on July 1 and running through July 14.
Range Rover takes over the role from JLR’s Jaguar brand, a move that extends the partnership between JLR and Wimbledon beyond a decade.
Earlier this year, Wimbledon secured a new multi-year partnership with Dubai-based airline Emirates.
Emirates will serve as the official airline partner of the event, meaning that it now sponsors all four of grand slams including the Australian Open, French Open, and US Open.
