Danish roof windows brand Velux and Japanese vehicle manufacturer Kawasaki have been unveiled as sponsors for cycling's iconic Tour de France race.
The agreement with Velux will run for the next three years and also covers the women's Tour de France Femmes and L'Étape du Tour de France, the mass participation event that allows amateur cyclists to race over the same route as a Tour de France stage.
As part of the deal, the race numbers of the champions racing in the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes will feature Velux branding.
In February, Velux was also announced by RCS Sport, the owner and operator of the Giro d’Italia cycling tour, as a new sponsor for four of the major cycling races RCS owns.
Meanwhile, Kawasaki will be the official motorcycle supplier for the Tour de France and all cycling races organized by ASO until 2027.
Under the three-year deal, Kawasaki will provide 45 motorbikes to aid in the running of the races.
Kawasaki first partnered with the tour in 1976.
In August, ASO also announced the multi-year renewal of its partnership with Japanese bicycle component manufacturer Shimano.
Other prominent official partners of the Tour de France in include telecommunications firm Orange, watch brand Tissot, fitness tracking app Strava, and Polish logistics service InPost.
The tour boasts five main partners on a high sponsorship tier, retail banking firm LCL (sponsor of the iconic winners’ yellow jersey), retailer E.Leclerc, car brand Skoda, tire brand Continental, and eyewear company Krys.
