UEFA, European soccer’s governing body, is inviting offers for its last available sponsorship rights package for the top-tier Champions League (UCL).

The Swiss-based federation has formally invited entities from all product categories to express interest in sponsoring the elite men's club competition.

In May 2022, UEFA initiated the sales process for the Champions League sponsorship rights packages for the 2024-27 commercial cycle.

Since then, UEFA has accepted offers for all nine available global partner sponsorship packages and three out of the four available global enhanced product/service partner slots for the competition.

As part of the continued sales process, UEFA has now received one additional offer for a UCL global enhanced product/service sponsorship package - parties can express interest in that opportunity by contacting Team Marketing at uccpartners@team.ch by 10:00 am Central European Time on November 26.

Team is UEFA’s global sales partner, marketing the commercial rights for its men’s club competitions for the 2024-27 cycle (which began earlier this year).

Most recently, Qatar Airways was unveiled as the latest major sponsor of the Champions League.

In an unprecedented move, the agreement will cover two three-year commercial cycles – 2024-27 and 2027-2030 and is understood to be worth €500 million ($556.5 million), or €83 million per year.

Chinese consumer electronics brand Oppo and Bet365 were also recently named as UCL sponsors, with the latter becoming the competition’s first betting partner.

Other brands signed up as specific UCL partners for the next three campaigns include Heineken, Lay’s, FedEx, Mastercard, Just Eat Takeaway.com, PepsiCo, and PlayStation.

In early October, UEFA also launched its last tender process for sponsorship rights across its lower-tier Europa League and Conference League club competitions for 2024-27.

The trio of men’s UEFA club competitions have a new format this season, with all teams now ranked in the same overall group stage, offering significantly more games.
