UEFA, European soccer’s governing body, has opened its media rights tender for club competitions in the 2024-27 cycle in Turkey.

The organization initiated a tender process in the market yesterday (December 21) for broadcast rights covering the next three seasons of its top-tier UEFA Champions League (UCL), second-tier Europa League, and third-tier Europa Conference League (to be renamed the Conference League from 2024-25).

The sales are being handled by Team Marketing, UEFA’s partner agency for media and commercial rights sales across its club competitions. All inquiries should be directed to info@team.ch, with a deadline for submissions of January 22.

During the current 2021-22 to 2023-24 cycle, media rights to all three UEFA club competitions are held in Turkey by subscription streaming service Exxen and free-to-air television channel TV8.

BeIN Sports, the international pay-TV broadcaster that owns Digiturk, Turkey’s leading pay-TV operator, previously held UCL rights from 2018-19 to 2020-21 cycle, while Saran Media, the Turkish sports rights agency, had rights to the Europa League.

Galatasaray were the only Turkish team in the UCL this season but failed to make it out of the group stages and will now compete in the Europa League after finishing third.

Local rivals Fenerbahce are competing in the Conference League this year.

UEFA’s most recent tender process was launched in sub-Saharan Africa, with a deadline of December 11 set for bids in that region.

The last tender issued in Europe was in Albania in early November, with offers expected by December 4.
