TNT Sports, the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned pay-TV broadcaster, will continue to be the home of motorcycling’s top MotoGP series in the UK and Ireland after agreeing a new multi-year deal.

Through the renewed agreement, struck with promoter Dorna Sports, live coverage of the MotoGP Grand Prix races and sprints, as well as all qualifying and practice sessions, will continue to be shown on the linear TNT Sports channel and Discovery+ streaming service.

Viewers in the UK and Ireland can also view the Moto2 and Moto3 development series.

The extended deal will take TNT Sports’ association with MotoGP beyond a decade as it has held rights to the championship since 2014. The last deal between the pair was unveiled in February 2021, back when TNT Sports was still called BT Sport.

As part of the deal, TNT Sports and Discovery+ will also broadcast the FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship, the MotoE World Championship and competitions from the Road to MotoGP, the talent promotion initiative.

Starting from the 2025 season, Warner Bros. Discovery will offer free-to-air live coverage of every sprint from each round, as well as a new weekly highlights show on its free-to-air channel Quest for the first time.

Quest will also broadcast two MotoGP races live each season, including the British race.

TNT Sports will provide additional coverage of MotoGP on its digital and social media platforms.

Alex Arroyo, head of media rights at Dorna, has said: “Since TNT first became home of MotoGP, they have provided top quality coverage of the sport for audiences in a key market.

“We’re excited that the next years of our agreement will also expand into free-to-air sprints. We look forward to working together to grow the sport even further across the UK and Ireland.”

Scott Young, group senior vice president of content, production, and business operations at WBD Sports Europe, added: “In partnership with MotoGP rights holder Dorna, we will elevate all categories within the championship.

“This long-term agreement provides our team time to implement innovative ideas to take fans closer to the heart of the sport.”

The 2025 MotoGP season starts with the ThaiGP on the weekend of 28 February-2 March at the Chang International Circuit – the first time the season opens in South-East Asia for a quarter of a century, and the first time ever in Thailand.

In total, there will be 22 grands prix in 18 countries in 2025 with the season climaxing in Valencia, Spain in November.

Warner Bros. Discovery’s coverage of MotoGP in the UK and Ireland sits alongside its premium portfolio of sports rights that already includes other motorsport’s properties such as Formula E, the 24 hours of Le Mans, WorldSBK and British Superbikes, as well as soccer’s UEFA Champions League and English Premier League, and the UFC mixed martial arts promotion.
