TMRW Sports, the tech-focused sports, media, and entertainment venture founded by golf stars Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy and sports industry executive Mike McCarley, has announced a set of key staffing additions, who have years of experience across relevant industries.
The new hires have worked for various major brands in sports and media including the NFL, NBA, MSG, PGA Tour, Vinik Sports Group, NBC, Turner, IMG, MLS, AEG, and Kroenke Sports and Entertainment.
They include Scott Levine, the new chief financial officer, who has more than 20 years of experience in the sports and finance worlds. He joins from Vinik Sports Group, owners of the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Amalie Arena, where he was vice president of finance and accounting.
Prior to his time at Vinik, Levine was the chief financial officer for Sunrise Sports and Entertainment, owners of the Florida Panthers and the BB&T Center. He will report to TMRW Sports founder and chief executive Mike McCarley.
Another new hire is Yared Alula, TMRW’s new deputy general counsel, who reports to Christopher Murvin, general counsel. Yared arrives at TMRW Sports from the PGA Tour where he spent 10 years, most recently as senior vice president and assistant general counsel.
TMRW has also hired Michael Drazin as vice president of broadcast engineering, with Drazin reporting to Jeff Neubarth, vice president of media production. Drazin arrives with five Emmy awards and over two decades of broadcast engineering experience, including working on Super Bowls, Olympics, the Masters, and Academy Awards.
In addition, the firm has brought in Humberto Fernandez from GMR Marketing as vice president of client services and activations, Maureen Broughton Murrah from IMG as vice president of licensing, Clay Schroeder from Brinks Home Security chief architect, and Tom Bellis from NFL as comptroller.
The company has, in addition, hired Tanner Coffman from Kroenke Sports and Entertainment as director of turf management, Imogen Hower from Samsung as senior director of marketing, Zach Jordan from AEG as director of venue live events, Kelly Wolfe from NBC as director of broadcast production, and Amanda Lipke from Turner Entertainment Networks as director of client services and activations.
Earlier this month TMRW announced a multi-year commercial partnership with SoFi Technologies, the digital personal finance company.
TMRW Sports was unveiled in August last year, having been founded in 2021. It is aimed at harnessing technology to build progressive approaches to sports, media, and entertainment.
Its first planned project is The Golf League (TGL), a tech-infused, stadium-based golf league that is being developed in partnership with US golf’s prestigious PGA Tour.
