The European Handball Federation (EHF) has selected five nations to host three editions of its European Championships (two men’s, one women’s), across 2030 and 2032.

This continues the continental governing body’s trend of selecting multiple hosts for recent editions of the Euros. Bids for the hosting of these events were received by the EHF in June.

The 2030 men’s Euros will be hosted by a combination of the Czech Republic, Poland, and Denmark, while Germany and France will combine to put on the 2032 edition. The women’s Euros in 2032, meanwhile, will be staged by Germany, Denmark, and Poland.

No applications have been admitted for the Women’s Euros in 2030 (only one bid came in, from Turkey), with the right to award that event set to “revert to the EHF Executive Committee.”

These decisions were voted through by the EHF’s extraordinary congress in Vienna on December 14.

Out of these hosts, Denmark will be staging its third men’s Euros, with that event having taken place once previously in Poland and Germany. France and the Czech Republic, meanwhile, will be hosting their debut editions of the event.

Denmark has also hosted five previous editions of the Women’s Euros, with Germany and Poland again having staged one edition each.

The 2030 men’s tournament will be primarily staged in Prague, Katowice, and Herning, with the 2032 edition yet to have games allocated to particular cities.

The women’s tournament in eight years' time, meanwhile, will take place partly in Katowice, with German and Danish host cities yet to be selected.

In terms of the 2026 and 2028 hosts, the men’s editions are set for Denmark, Norway, and Sweden (2026), and Portugal, Spain, and Switzerland (2028).

For the women’s iteration, meanwhile, the host nations are a combination of the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Turkey (2026) and - again - Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, in 2028.

The 2024 men’s EHF Euros took place between January 10 and 28 in Germany, while the women's event finished on December 15, having been spread across Austria, Hungary, and Switzerland.
