UK-based television sports production and media company Sunset+Vine has announced it will be the new official production partner for public-service broadcaster the BBC's snooker coverage.

Sunset+Vine will take charge of delivering coverage of the Triple Crown for the BBC from this month.

This includes the UK Championships, the Masters, and the World Championships.

Production will be led by Sunset+Vine’s Scotland office, under the leadership of executive producer Grant Philips.

Sunset+Vine stated that the new deal “will offer more live snooker than ever before for BBC Sport.”

IMG had been the BBC’s production partner for snooker since 1997.

Peter Angell, chief executive of Sunset+Vine, said: “This contract is a game-changer for Sunset+Vine. We’re thrilled to further expand our portfolio across a diverse range of sports and this is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter.”

The BBC extended its broadcast deal with the World Snooker Tour in 2022 until 2027, covering the World Championship, UK Championship, and invitational Masters tournaments.

This year’s UK Championships will take place from November 23 to December 1, with the next Masters taking place from January 12 to 19, 2025, and the next World Snooker Championship will be held from April 19 to May 5, 2025.
