French utility group Suez has extended its partnership with women's road cycling's Tour de France Femmes for a further three years.

Following the initial partnership in 2023, Suez will continue to supply and distribute drinking water and offer waste management solutions for the next three editions of the race, with this year's set to take place from August 12 to 18.

GlobalData Sport estimated the original tie-up - specifically covering last year's race - as being worth $0.3 million.

As part of the extended deal, Suez will connect the start and finish sites for all eight stages of the event to the mains water supply, as well as install water fountains for riders, members of the organization team, guests, media, and spectators. The firm will also distribute water bottles and reusable cups.

Finally, Suez will provide the public with information on water access points and water quality through its MonEau app, as well as information on resource conservation and waste sorting practices in Fan Zones, along the race route through a publicity caravan, and on social media.

Sabrina Soussan, chairman and chief executive of Suez, has said: "We are delighted to extend our partnership with the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift for another three years, supporting the ecological transition of this iconic race.

“This partnership complements Suez's commitment to the FDJ–Suez team, one of the leading teams in the elite international peloton, since 2022."

Marion Rousse, director of the Tour de France Femmes, added: "The Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift faces significant challenges to complete the ecological transition.

“Thanks to Suez, we can put in place an ideal solution that makes a big contribution to the event's commitments in terms of sustainable development. We are thrilled to be able to continue our efforts by extending our partnership with Suez for another three exciting years."

This year's TDF Femmes will start in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
