Stats Perform, the global sports technology company, has announced the launch of a new AI-powered data and statistical insight solution.
OptaAI Studio, which combines AI with the proprietary data engine of Stats Perform’s Opta sports data service, is aimed at usage by broadcasters, media, sports organizations, and sports betting businesses, to better draw on the wealth of available data and gather insights on it for their customers.
This will be facilitated by OptaAI Studio’s three primary tools: a search function (Opta Search) to shorten the research burden by identifying patterns and themes with AI; a dynamic live dashboard (Opta Live) to help weave live game data into a coherent narrative; and a graphics function (Opta Graphics) to collate data into cohesive graphics that will feature sponsorship placement inventory.
All this will allow broadcasters, media businesses, and sports betting purveyors, to grow their offerings to customers by enhancing the provision of accurate real-time data.
Speaking on the new solution, Stats Perform's senior vice president of product Alex Lanegger stated: “OptaAI Studio leverages AI to help unlock captivating narratives in Opta’s enormous sports database, and unlock the data-driven storytelling potential of our clients around the world.
“It saves broadcasters, journalists, marketers, and content creators countless hours of research and verification, empowering them to weave unique, insightful, compelling narratives around the games they cover, attracting fans, subscribers, and sponsors."
Stats Perform, and by extension Opta, is one of the world’s most prominent sports technology and data businesses, operating across a range of sports.
Most recently the company agreed a four-year betting data rights tie-up with the International Cricket Council governing body to exclusively distribute data and live streams for its competitions.
For its betting operator partners, this deal will see Stats Perform provide services including low-latency video streams, and ball-by-ball match data.
