Chinese streamer Leisu Sports has snapped up rights to competitions organised by the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF), through a deal brokered by the Sportfive sports marketing agency.
The AFF - covering the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the governing body for soccer in that region - has an exclusive commercial rights deal with Sportfive since the agency’s Lagardere days.
Through the Leisu Sports agreement, the 2024 national teams AFF Championship as well as the inaugural edition of the ASEAN Club Championship will both be covered by Leisu.
The games will be covered via Leisu’s online platform and the Leisu Sports app.
The 10-team AFF Championship national teams competition will this year take place between December 8 and January 5 in 10 Southeast Asian cities while the first ASEAN Club Championship began in August, with 12 clubs involved.
The AFF is a regional sub-division of Asia’s continental soccer governing body, the Asian Football Confederation, and the four ASEAN international competitions are collectively branded as ASEAN United FC.
