The Special Olympics and global soft drinks conglomerate Coca‑Cola have announced an eight-year extension of their long-standing global partnership.
As part of the deal, Coca‑Cola will continue to support Special Olympics programs, athletes, and events globally through monetary and in-kind donations, volunteer support, and marketing initiatives.
In addition to the flagship Special Olympics events, Coca-Cola will continue to support local Special Olympics competitions and programs every year.
The partnership, which will now run through 2031, goes back to the inception of Special Olympics in 1968, making the Coca-Cola Company a founding partner.
The 2025 Special Olympics Winter Games will be held in Turin, Italy, and the 2027 Summer Games will take place in Santiago, Chile.
Last week, Coca-Cola was unveiled as a partner of the currently underway 2024 edition of South American soccer’s showpiece Copa America national teams competition, in a last-minute tie-up.
Coca-Cola is now a Copa America 2024 global partner, running until the tournament ends on July 14.
