Queensberry Promotions to join DAZN exclusively in April 2025

The multi-year deal will see DAZN become the promotion's exclusive global broadcaster.

High-profile boxing promotion Queensberry Promotions has announced a “historic” media rights deal with international OTT streaming service DAZN.

A multi-year deal, beginning on April 1, 2025, will see DAZN become the exclusive home of Queensberry boxing cards.

This move unites Queensbury, and its founder Frank Warren, on the same broadcaster as bitter rival Eddie Hearn and his Matchroom Boxing promotion, as well as Oscar de la Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions and influencer-focused boxing promotion Misfits, helping DAZN to lay further claim to its self-professed “global home of boxing” moniker.

Queensberry chief executive George Warren (son of Frank) stated of the move: “Queensberry has undergone an unprecedented growth period over the past 18 months, and firmly established ourselves as a leading promotional and events company.

“Now with DAZN in our corner, we can further accelerate our positioning on a global scale. This deal is also fantastic news for boxing fans across the world as we combine our best-in-class stable of fighters with what we consider to be the most ambitious streaming platform in sport."

DAZN’s boxing business chief executive Pete Oliver added: “We offer boxing promoters something no other broadcaster is able to deliver – international reach, unmatched production, and an innovative, future-proof product.”

Until now Queensberry events have solely been the preserve of pay-TV competitors Sky and TNT (formerly BT Sports) in the UK.

With the addition of Queensberry’s fights to its platform, DAZN will now broadcast a guaranteed 150 fights per year.

Queensberry’s roster includes a number of high profile heavyweights including current IBF World Champion Daniel Dubois, former multi-belt heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, and further ranked fighters such as Zhilei Zhang, Joseph Parker, and Fabio Wardley, among others.

Former undisputed super-lightweight women’s champion Chantelle Cameron, WBA world featherweight champion Nick Ball, and rising middleweight Hamzah Sheeraz are among those represented by Queensberry in the lighter weight classes, meanwhile, giving the promotion’s roster well-rounded depth and variety of attraction for fans.

Interest in bringing Queensberry to DAZN was reported as far back as July - as the promotion’s deal with UK pay-TV broadcaster TNT Sport is set to expire in March 2025.

Earlier in 2024, the Queensberry and Matchroom promotions organized a cross-promotional showdown event with Warren’s boxers winning out 5-0 victors over Hearn’s.

The event renewed tensions in the fighters’ respective divisions but indicated a future working relationship between the two promoters that could now be facilitated by DAZN, with discussions around future cross-promotion 5v5 events a constant media talking point.

DAZN also holds a lifetime broadcast contract with British star Anthony Joshua, who Daniel Dubois defeated in front of a UK record crowd earlier in 2024.
