The Pragosport Czech Republic media rights agency has secured international betting streaming rights to the top two domestic soccer leagues for the next five years.
The deal unveiled by Czech league soccer’s Ligové Fotbalové Asociace (LFA) governing body covers the top-tier Chance Liga (named as such for sponsorship reasons) as well as the country’s second division between the start of 2024-25 and the conclusion of the 2028-29 campaign. Rights apply worldwide, aside from in the Czech Republic itself.
Following a two-round tender, Pragosport submitted the best financial offer and came out on top of several other bidders.
The LFA body has claimed the contract will bring in revenue “of lower tens of millions of Czech crowns to Czech professional football annually.”
Late April saw betting company Chance named as the title sponsor of the top two Czech soccer divisions, also for the next five seasons.
The firm, owned by Tipsport, was awarded the rights after submitting the highest offer in a tender launched by the LFA in March.
Domestic media rights for the next five seasons, meanwhile, are held by O2 TV.
