Mixed martial arts’ (MMA) Professional Fighters League (PFL) has today announced the hiring of Michael Chioditti as senior vice president of new business.
He joins the MMA league following stints at organizations including Endeavor Streaming (most recently) and US basketball’s top-tier NBA.
In his new role, Chioditti will be responsible for growing revenue across the digital, social, and gaming sectors at the PFL.
The new senior vice president will also be tasked with handling the league’s new product, licensing, and e-commerce activities.
Peter Murray, chief executive at the PFL, said: “Michael’s experience and expertise in expanding revenue at some of the biggest organizations in the world are a perfect fit for PFL as we continue our exponential growth.”
Late last month, the PFL announced the hiring of experienced industry executive Emilio Revelo as senior vice president of media strategy and distribution.
He joined the organization from the World Wrestling Entertainment promotion, where he started in 2006.
Last November saw the PFL acquire rival MMA series Bellator from US media giant Paramount, in a move aimed at boosting its status relative to the Ultimate Fighting Championship, the world’s largest MMA promotion.
