The New Orleans Pelicans and Portland Trail Blazers have become the latest franchises in basketball’s NBA to secure new jersey patch sponsors ahead of the new season.
The Pelicans have partnered with NewAge Products, the home improvement and DIY specialist, while the Blazers have teamed up with window company Brightside Windows.
Toronto-based NewAge Products will replace digital marketing platform Ibotta as the Pelicans’ official jersey sponsor.
NewAge Products branding will also feature prominently at the team’s Smoothie King Center arena and across digital and social media channels through the deal.
The partnership will additionally feature a series of community activations.
The deal with Brightside Windows sees the Blazers end a two-year search for a new jersey patch partner.
StormX was the last partner the franchise had, becoming the first team in the NBA to sign up a cryptocurrency platform as a jersey patch sponsor at the time.
The Brightside Windows logo will feature on all Trail Blazers game, practice, and NBA Summer League jerseys, while it also sponsor the Rip City Remix, the organization's G League affiliate.
Other elements of the partnership include Brightside Windows serving as a supporting partner of the Trail Blazers Youth Basketball program.
The Pelicans and Blazers are the fifth and sixth franchises, respectively, to secure a new jersey sponsor in recent weeks after the Brooklyn Nets, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat and Detroit Pistons.
The 2024-25 NBA season will tip off on October 22. The Pelicans and Blazers will begin their campaign the following night against the Chicago Bulls and the Golden State Warriors, respectively.
