The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has launched an international media rights tender covering home international series through to December 2026.

The tender includes broadcast TV, digital, audio, online, and mobile rights, to all home series’ played by Pakistan senior national teams during that time. There are 14 men’s series’ currently scheduled for the next two and a half years, starting in August with the visit of Bangladesh for two tests.

Traditional cricket powerhouses England, Australia, South Africa, and the West Indies will all tour, while the PCB has said a women's national team schedule will be announced in due course.

Interested parties can obtain the relevant tender documents by emailing pcb.bidding@pcb.com.pk until July 1, with the last date for submitting proposals set as July 10.

The technical proposals will be opened on that date at the PCB’s offices, separate to the financial element of the submissions.

The last set of major international media rights deals covering Pakistan’s home series were struck between late 2020 and early 2021, covering the cycle through 2023.

Deals in that period included tie-ups with Sky in the UK and Ireland, SuperSport in Sub-Saharan Africa, Willow TV in North America, and Foxtel in Australia.

Since those tie-ups ended, the PCB has been selling rights on a short-term basis internationally, for series such as New Zealand’s visit (encompassing five Twenty20s) in April. It sold rights initially to Pakistani media outlets ARY Digital and TransGroup International, who then distributed them amongst networks worldwide.

Domestically, that series was covered by a range of Pakistani networks, after ARY also snapped up those rights.

In January, the PCB claimed that the sale of domestic live streaming rights for the 2024 and 2025 editions of its domestic top-tier Pakistan Super League competition saw a 113% increase in value compared to the 2022-23 cycle. Marketing platform Walee Technologies secured that package.

Pakistan’s men’s side are currently taking part in the 2024 ICC Twenty20 World Cup in the Caribbean and US, losing to the latter team in a major upset yesterday (June 6).
