The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) governing body has awarded domestic media rights - covering all home international cricket - up until December 2026 to a consortium of ARY (one of Pakistan’s main media outlets) and Tower Sports.

The organization revealed late last week that following a tender process, those two networks have come out on top, and has also claimed that the rights have been awarded for a value of double the fee from the previous two-year domestic deal.

From now through the next two and a half years, Pakistan - in men’s national team cricket - will host 11 test matches, 26 one-day internationals, and 24 Twenty20 fixtures.

The initial men’s games under the terms of this new deal come in the form of a two-test series against Bangladesh, with the first game to start on August 21 (Wednesday).

Earlier this year, ARY was also the primary rights-holder for Pakistan’s home series against New Zealand - the rights for that series were awarded on their own, as opposed to forming part of a longer-term deal.

The PCB has effectively been attempting to find new, long-term, domestic rights partners since the end of 2023.

In March, meanwhile, Tower Sports and PTV, the state broadcaster in Pakistan, secured non-exclusive rights to competitions organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC) through the end of 2025.

The PCB is also in the process of appointing sponsors for its home international series through 2026, and a tender process was conducted last month.
