Real Madrid, the heavyweight Spanish soccer club, has today unveiled Orange, the international telecoms operator, as a new sponsor until 2027.

Under a strategic tie-up, the operator becomes the LaLiga club’s new telecommunications partner for the next three seasons.

The sponsorship will cover Real Madrid's men's and women's teams.

Orange replaces Spanish firm Telefonica as the team’s telecommunications partner.

Through the agreement, Orange will receive image and hospitality rights, and have brand visibility inside the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, with a prominent presence both on traditional media as well as in the new spaces in the renovated venue.

Among them is the new 360-degree LED halo that features in the upper area of the Bernabéu.

The two parties will also collaborate in marketing and advertising activities connected to the club's different communication channels, as well as engaging with fans through campaigns on social networks.

Orange will additionally provide Real Madrid with its support in 5G/5G+ mobile connectivity, serving as the mobile communications provider for all its employees.

Real Madrid last week announced it has become the first soccer club to exceed €1 billion ($1.08 billion) in revenue after posting the record figure for the 2023-24 financial year.

The club generated revenue of €1.07 billion last year, an increase of €230 million (27%) from 2022-23.

Real Madrid enjoyed a hugely successful season last year, winning the UEFA Champions League elite club competition for the 15th time, the domestic LaLiga title, and the Spanish Super Cup.

The team will begin the defense of its LaLiga title away at Real Mallorca in their season opener on August 18.
