The international Premier Padel series, owned by Qatar Sports Investments, and Japanese technology service corporation NTT Data, have announced a new global agreement.
The tech company becomes an official partner of the series, which will allow Premier Padel to use NTT Data’s analytics and real-time data collection in its tournaments.
The agreement will aim to utilize NTT Data’s experience in data analytics, business intelligence, and technology to develop and enhance player performance and to make Premier Padel broadcasts more interactive and immersive.
Rob Mitchell, commercial director of Premier Padel, said: “Our latest collaboration with NTT Data marks a significant milestone in our commitment to innovate and grow padel globally.
“We are always looking at ways to deliver the ultimate experience for fans both on and off the court, and technology plays an important role in elevating the experience.”
Ángeles Mera, chief marketing officer for Iberia at NTT Data, added: “This new partnership closely aligns with NTT Data’s ambitious plans to enhance the padel ecosystem – marking another step in the company’s long-term commitment to sports – and further strengthens the company's ongoing support for the leading professional players in the sport.
“Collaboration is essential for growth and this latest partnership between NTT Data and Premier Padel will aim to further advance the development of padel by leveraging the latest technological solutions and improving accessibility.”
The inaugural 2024 Premier Padel calendar features 25 tournaments across five continents and 18 countries. It began on February 26 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and will finish in Barcelona, Spain, in late December.
NTT Data also recently announced a multi-year sponsorship deal with Arsenal, of English soccer’s top-tier Premier League, while it expanded its partnership with McLaren, of motor racing’s Formula 1.
