PinDrop, the new UK-based sports marketing agency, has today announced a partnership with English soccer club Newcastle United.
Through the deal, the agency will “help drive the club’s partnership research, insight, and analytics capability.”
It will also work with Newcastle to “enhance the club’s existing partnerships and search to find potential partners.”
In the role, PinDrop will act as additional support to the Premier League club’s commercial team, helping them to build their commercial portfolio across different industries and in key territories.
Newcastle have announced several major commercial deals in recent months, including a new kit supply agreement with German sportswear heavyweight adidas, and a renewed tie-up with Saudia, the national carrier of Saudi Arabia.
Jonathan Kane, director of partnerships at Newcastle United, said: “We are delighted to be working with PinDrop, who will help develop our research, insight, and analytics capability as we build our partnerships division.
“They have a wealth of experience in this space and have immediately delivered value to the club through their impressive approach.”
Menino Pereira, co-founder at PinDrop, added: “Newcastle are going through an incredibly exciting and transformative period, and we're excited to contribute to enabling their goals.
“Our focus is on using data strategically to unlock commercial value and establish the foundations for their expansion.”
PinDrop was launched in December by Pereira and Sean Thornley, former commercial executives at Premier League giants Arsenal.
Upon its launch, the firm secured Scottish Premiership side Rangers as its first client.
